All the controls are exactly where you would expect them to be; the blade clutch for driving and mowing, the 8 preset cutting height adjustments, and even the 250 litre “dumper” grass catcher box can all be operated without leaving the comfort of the fully adjustable driver’s seat. You’ve got an uninterrupted view from up here too; you can see any obstacles that might be in your way - as the engine is placed at the rear of the machine - and therefore you can mow closer to edges and borders with no trouble, ensuring the Stihl RT 4082 garden rider leaves your garden with a neat and tidy finish. The wide step through allows easy access to the driver’s seat so you won’t feel like you are clambering over a bulky piece of machinery to get to your seat.
A mulching insert can be purchased separately if required and this will be helpful if you are aiming for a perfectly green and healthy lawn with the minimum of effort. When using the garden rider with the mulching insert the grass will be returned to the lawn very finely cut where it will wilt naturally and act as a rich and natural fertilizer. You are unlikely to need additional lawn products as the mulched grass will have everything your grass needs to grow lush and healthy.
