The powerful Mountfield series 7750 OHV 452cc engine has been selected to power this Mountfield 1636H and it has been expertly designed to be smooth, quiet and economical. The electric start ensures reliable and easy starting first time with no problems. Featuring headlights and brake lights this model is ideal if you are having to work in fading light, allowing you to finish your work even if the sun is going down.
The Mountfield 1636H features a trouble-free and simple to use hydrostatic transmission. Driving a lawn tractor has never been easier or more fun! You can choose from an infinite amount of speeds, whether you are in forward or reverse gear. To move forward simply press the pedal until you reach the desired speed. To slow down simply lift your foot off the pedal. To reverse you press the back part of the pedal. It's worth noting that on the whole, customers who buy a hydrostatic model state that they would not want to go back to the manual version! You remain in complete control of your lawn tractor at all times and will be able to set the pace to suit your surroundings.
Engaging the cutter deck couldn’t be easier; pull out the control switch for “On” and push it in for “Off”. Featuring a 92 cm cutting width together with a 7 cutting heights that range from an ultra-low cut of 25mm right up to a generous 70mm you can be assured that this Mountfield 1636H lawn tractor is ready for anything. Featuring a 92 cm cutting width it is worth noting that all Mountfield garden tractors cut wider than the wheel width, which means there is little trimming left to do afterwards.
The twin bladed cutter deck is extremely efficient, and not just at cutting your grass. It is part of a clever system that cleanly blows the grass cuttings into the large 290 litre grass collector. The grass collector can be emptied from your driver’s seat. Simply back up to your compost heap, pull the lever and your grass is gone - and you never had to leave your seat! You might notice that your grass collector holds more grass than you might expect and this is because the grass is very finely cut and powerfully blown into the collector. An alarm will sound to alert you to the fact that the grass collector is full, this will ensure you don’t allow it to become overfull and clogged up - unclogging by hand is not a nice job at all. At least with this model, you will know when it's full!
The quick-connect washing link will allow you to clean the deck of your lawn tractor to keep it free of dirt and loose grass clippings. Now it will always be 100% ready to go for next time.
A mulch plug is included and if your grass is in the right conditions for mulching, i.e not too long or overgrown then you will be pleased to know that this premium riding mower has such a modern mulching system that you will barely notice the mulched grass on your lawn. Some less advanced lawn mowers may well leave your grass in untidy lumps on your lawn but you won’t have that problem with a Mountfield! It will be finely cut and left in neat lines where it will act as a nutrient-rich and natural lawn fertilizer. It actually contains everything your grass needs to remain green and healthy. You won’t need to buy additional lawn fertilizing products, saving you money and time.
The mulching plug is included as standard and if you wish to buy effort-saving accessories such as the Mountfield galvanised cart, trailers, fertiliser spreaders or rollers then you will be pleased to know that the Mountfield branded tow bar which fits this model is included as well.
If your grass is too long to mulch and you don’t want to collect it you can choose to discharge it back onto your lawn. This is ideal if your grass has become very long or you have larger areas that you want to mow quickly. You can easily change between mulching, collecting or discharging in a matter of seconds - Mountfield suggests it takes less than a minute. You simply remove the collector, insert the mulching plug into the discharge chute and replace the collector. To return to collection simply reverse the procedure.

Ride-On Mowers - We charge a minimum rate of £69.00 (for smaller garden riders) and £79.00 (for garden tractors) for all Start 'N' Go orders. This service is available to most mainland England and Wales postcodes. We cannot currently offer this service to any Scottish postcodes.
Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday if a bank holiday). We will contact you to book your delivery in.
