The DHCAS-2600HD is the first ECHO X-Series short-reach battery-powered hedge trimmer, specifically designed for professionals. This new model expands their range of shafted hedge trimmers, offering a lighter and quieter alternative to its petrol counterparts. The ECHO DHCAS-2600HD is highly versatile, making it suitable for both everyday commercial trimming tasks and more detailed work, such as sculpting shrubs.

The trimmer features a heavy-duty gearcase, which is a hallmark of ECHO’s commercial petrol hedge trimmers. The motor and battery are aligned along the axis line, with the blades positioned near the drive shaft, ensuring optimal balance and reduced twisting forces during use. The LED indicator control panel, which includes a memory function, allows for quick and easy speed adjustments. It offers three-speed settings and variable throttle control, giving users precise control whether they are undertaking rough or fine trimming, making it versatile and easy to operate. 

For added convenience, the trimmer can be fully folded, making it simple to transport and store. The durable magnesium gearbox shell enhances balance and manoeuvrability, while greasing points enable quick gearbox maintenance without requiring disassembly. With 10 blade adjustment positions, ranging from +90° to -45°, the trimmer is adaptable to a variety of tasks.

The ECHO DHCAS-2600HD weighs just 4.3 kg dry, making it lighter than its petrol equivalents. It delivers cutting performance on par with petrol models, achieving an industry-leading 4600 cuts per minute. Its 35mm pitch enables it to cut through rougher, denser material, and the triple-sharpened blades provide cleaner, more precise cuts. The additional blade plating increases durability and resistance to dirt. 

Powered by a brushless, custom-made motor, the trimmer operates efficiently and requires no maintenance. The advanced motor control ensures stable performance throughout the entire battery charge. The professional-grade gearbox features a conrod transmission, fully supported by ball bearings, for exceptional durability. The trimmer is also IPX4 water-resistant, making it suitable for use in various weather conditions.

For ease of storage and transportation, the blade is fully foldable. The rear motor and battery are positioned along the axis line to provide optimal balance and comfort during operation. The soft rubber front handle ensures maximum comfort and a secure grip, no matter the position. The trimmer's variable throttle allows for precise speed adjustments, while the tool-less blade adjustment enables quick angle changes in 15-degree increments. 

The ECHO DHCAS-2600HD trimmer also features a three-speed selector with a memory function, allowing users to switch from rough cutting to fine trimming with ease. The multi-functional control panel includes an on/off button with an automatic switch-off function. 

The DHCAS-2600HD with SHORT-SHAFT features a longer reach capability, making it ideal for trimming low-height hedges or shrubs without the need for a ladder. Its shoulder harness also provides added support during extended use. The rapid charger ensures a quick recharge time of just 78 minutes, while the 56V, 5.0Ah lithium-ion battery offers up to 79 minutes of runtime on a full charge, allowing for uninterrupted work on larger areas.

In terms of specifications, the DHCAS-2600 operates on a 56V battery system, with the included 5.0Ah battery providing 252 Watt Hours of power. Weighing in at 4.0 kg (with battery), it strikes a balance between lightweight handling and robust power.
