Featuring a 4-in-1 function that offers mowing, discharging, collecting and mulching you have every option at your fingertips to get your lawn looking its absolute best. If you choose to discharge the grass it will be left in neat lines on your lawn where it will wilt naturally. This is a great option if you are in a hurry as you won’t need to empty the grass catcher, just a quick mow and it’s all over. However, if you have pets or children you might prefer to collect the grass to reduce the likelihood of cut grass being walked into the house.
You can choose to mulch if your grass is short enough, and this is highly recommended that you do so throughout the growing season. The mulched grass is full of the vital nutrients that your lawn requires to grow green and healthy. The mulched grass is basically a free and organic fertilizer, so you’ll be fertilizing as you mow with this option. You probably won’t need additional fertilizers or lawn care products, so not only will you save time, effort and hassle but money too.
Another one of the stand-out-features of the AL-KO Comfort 51.0 SP-A has to be the MaxAirflow technology. The steel plate deck has had a design update and is taller than its competitors, and the discharge channel is also extra big - together they increase the air flow by 42%. “Why is this important?” you say. Well for starters it means that the grass clippings are not transported at a low level into the grass collector, they are instead efficiently thrown backwards in a high arc and remain at the back, in other words the grass catcher is filled from the back and the discharge channel has no chance of being blocked. The 60 litre grass catcher can be filled more efficiently thanks to this innovative feature, making better use of the space and effectively holding the absolute maximum amount of grass. A removable service flap makes for convenient mower maintenance - just another item worthy of a mention that has had a lot of thought put into its design.

Whatever length of grass you need to deal with, the AL-KO Comfort 51.0 SP-A is bound to have a cutting height to suit your needs. There are a total of seven to choose from, and they can be changed with a single centralised lever that is easy and safe to operate. The heights range from a super low 30mm which is ideal if you are mulching the grass, right up to 80mm which would be ideal if your grass has grown longer or is a bit on the wild side. Whatever length you start from, you are guaranteed to achieve a uniformly neat and tidy finish every time.

Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales.
