Single forward speed - Ideal for small-medium sized lawns up to 1,200 m²
The Stihl RM 448 T self-propelled petrol powered 4-in-1 lawn mower is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. It is part of the new 4 series from Stihl - designed for domestic users. Packed with user-friendly features such as the aluminium comfort mono handlebar which allows easy access to the grass box, as well as being adjustable so you can find a comfortable working position. This mono handle bar also easily folds down for compact storage and transportation options.
It’s lightweight at just 32kg - and this is mostly thanks to the modern design but also because of the lightweight polymer deck which is still robust and rust proof and will prove to be easy to clean. Aimed at gardens up to 1200m2, this lawn mower is simple to use and thanks to the smooth wheels with double ball bearing they won’t leave skid marks on your lawn, and you’ll be able to mow in nice straight lines if you want to.
The best feature of this Stihl RM 448 T lawn mower is its versatile 4-in-1 system which allows you to choose from side or rear discharging the cuttings, collecting them or turning them into a mulch. Discharging the cuttings is of course quicker but if you don’t want the grass left on your lawn then it’s probably better if you collect in the spacious 52 litre grass box. This modern grass box features a handy fill level indicator so you can keep checking for when it’s time to empty it.
The mulching system is incredibly efficient. The grass will be finely shredded and turned into a mulch and deposited back onto your lawn in neat lines where it will wilt quickly and naturally. This process returns vital nutrients back to the soil, giving your grass every chance it needs to grow green and lush. You are unlikely to require shop bought products which can be expensive and often not very good for the environment if you mulch your lawn on a regular basis. It is wise to consult a gardening expert for the best time of year to undertake mulching for the best results.
This Stihl RM 448 T self-propelled petrol powered 4-in-1 lawn mower features a powerful and reliable EVC 300.1 engine (RM). It offers all the power you need to get your grass mown to your specification. With its 46cm/18" cutting width and a speed of 3.5 km/h this lawn mower works steadily and efficiently. You can adjust the cutting height from 20 mm right up to 100 mm which means you have plenty of versatility over how short or long you like your grass to be, no matter the length you started with.
A bottle of 4-stroke engine oil will be included with this lawn mower to get you started.
Self-propelled
Self-propelled STIHL lawn mowers take the effort out of lawn mowing. The drive mechanism propels the mower without it physically having to be pushed. This makes working easier, especially on large lawns and inclines.
Highlift blade
The highlift blade gives a precise finish to the lawn and ensures optimal filling of the grass catcher box. The blade creates a strong air current in the housing, which makes the grass stand upright before cutting and efficiently carries the clippings into the catcher box using an integrated and powerful air flow system.
Smooth running wheels
The smooth running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and to help hold perfect line during mowing.

Central cutting height adjustment
The central cutting height adjustment is spring-loaded, which makes it easy to set the desired cutting height in several settings.
After pruning, loose clippings can be easily removed from the tree with the branch hook.
The lateral chain tensioning prevents the hand from coming into contact with the saw chain. This is used for safe and easy tensioning of the chain. The integrated dipstick on the sprocket cover makes it easier to control the direction when positioning and sawing.
The square telescopic drive tube is rigid and robust. The length of the shaft can be easily adjusted without the need for tools, allowing you to work at different heights and transport easier.
With the ergonomic quick adjustment, the length of the HTA can easily be varied from 285 to 405 cm. The adjustment is done by simply loosening and tightening the quick adjustment by a 1/4 turn.
A clamp on the telescopic shaft means the pole pruiner can be attached easily and released quickly. The clip can be easily moved by the user. Comfortable grip tube ensures a firm grip over the entire gripping area. STIHL shoulder strap is included as standard.
You can always rely on STIHL to keep setting new benchmarks this time with 4-stroke mixed lubrication technology. The STIHL 4-MIX engine, which runs on a fuel-oil mix just like a 2-stroke, offers the benefits without the compromises of 4-stroke power. STIHL 4-MIX engine technology provides fast acceleration, more power, added torque, lower noise, reduced emissions and increased fuel efficiency to complete jobs quickly, quietly and more easily.
The magnesium gearbox means the head of the pole pruner is both robust and lightweight, making it perfect for professionals. It also reduced strain when working over long periods of time.
Intense vibration at the handles of power tools can lead to long-term effects on blood vessels in the hands and arms. STIHL has therefore developed an effective anti-vibration system whereby the oscillations from the machine's engine are dampened which significantly reduces vibrations at the handles.
The pole pruner is controlled via the multi-function handle. It is easy and safe to operate - your hand remains on the handle at all times.

Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner.
