The Stihl HTA 160 cordless pole pruner allows professionals to take care of all kinds of tasks such as pruning fruit trees, removing dead wood and is ideal in all kinds of situations such as landscape gardening and forestry. It’s good for noise sensitive areas and is part of Stihl AP cordless range of battery operated gardening tools which means you only need one battery and one charger to operate many different tools in the range, saving you money in the long run.
This Stihl HTA 160 cordless pole pruner features a 12-inch bar and has a total length of285 cm to 405 cm, allowing you to reach those harder to access areas whilst keeping your feet firmly on the ground. You won’t need to worry about wobbly ladders and from your vantage point on the ground you will feel safer and more able to work for longer periods of time. It’s easy to adjust the length thanks to the professional telescopic shaft.
Fitted with a powerful EC motor, this lightweight pole pruner is capable of making precise cuts even in higher areas. The robust branch hook moulded onto the compact cutting head makes it easier to grip and remove loose clippings for a neat and tidy finish. Thinning out treetops is simple as you can work at a height of around 5 metres.
You’ll find all the controls are conveniently at your fingertips, and there’s even an LED display. The easy to clean air-filter ensures that the engine is kept at an optimal temperature throughout the working session, not only prolonging the life of the motor but ensuring you receive a consistent level of power throughout. The Stihl stand also protects the motor housing from contact with the ground, and you can also purchase a STIHL RTS backpack system which will allow you ultimate mobility as you work.
This Stihl HTA 160 cordless pole pruner has been weather tested, to IPX4 standard levels, and therefore it is ideal for professional users thanks to its splash water protection. It has also been prepared for use with a Smart Connector (2A). For added efficiency, the guide bar has been integrated into the sprocket cover as a raised line and this allows for better directional control when setting and sawing with your pole pruner.
This model can be used with the STIHL 3/8″ P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain, or with 1/4″ P-STIHL saw chains, such as the 1/4″ P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) can be used. With 1/4″ STIHL saw chains, it’s good to note that you won’t need ear protection so not only can you work in noise sensitive areas but you are also more aware of what is going on around you.
The STIHL electric motor (EC) is extremely energy efficient, lightweight and compact. It runs quietly, generates very low vibrations and does not require servicing.
The protective foot protects the housing from contact with the floor.
For improved directional control when positioning and sawing, the dipstick has been integrated into the design of the pruner head as a raised line.
The magnesium gearbox means the head of the pole pruner is both robust and lightweight, making it perfect for professionals. It also reduced strain when working over long periods of time.
The rigid, professional telescopic shaft can be quickly adjusted for easy positioning and a precise cut.

Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday if a bank holiday). We will contact you to book your delivery in.
