This Mountfield SP46 LS is a new 46cm self propelled lawnmower that offers excellent value for money and is versatile and easy to use. Aimed at the busy domestic gardener with a small to medium sized lawn of approximately 40m x 40m. A trustworthy and reliable self propelled lawn mower this Mountfield SP46 LS is remarkably easy to operate and gives a nice neat finish to your lawn.
A stand out feature of this lawn mower is the mulching facility that allows you to cut the grass and return it to the ground very finely cut where it will act as a natural and nutrient rich fertilizer. You will be saving time, effort and money, because now you will have no need for additional fertilizer. Mountfield suggests that if you don't collect the grass you can save around 30% of the time it would take you if you were to collect it. The mulching plug is of course included as standard.
If you choose to collect - the 60 litre collection bag is easy to empty and reattach and has a hard top to minimise the amount of dust that can fly up in your face, this is especially useful in dry conditions. The handy bag full indicator cuts the risk of the bag becoming over filled and the chute being clogged up by grass cuttings.
The 46cm cutting width is generous and will allow you to cut the grass quickly and efficiently. You can easily maneuver around garden objects and up against borders and edges with no problems at all. This Mountfield SP46 is incredibly versatile in all situations.
A single lever controls the cutting height and you can choose from 6 preset positions that range in height from a low 22cm to 65cm. You will be able to easily achieve a nice neat lawn whatever length you started from. Great in all conditions, this Mountfield SP46 can deal with pretty much any situation you are faced with.
The Mountfield ST170 166cc auto choke engine features a Lithium start for easy and reliable starts. No need to pull on a rope to get this started, a simple push of a button and you're set to go. The efficient engine provides drive to the rear wheels as well as the cutting blade meaning you don't have to push. A steady pace is already set and you will soon feel the benefit of this self propelled lawn mower. Sloping ground is no problem for this Mountfield SP46 LS and bumpy ground will be easy to maintain.
Safety is of the utmost importance to Mountfield and that is why this lawn mower feature the operator presence control system. When you are not holding onto the handles the engine cuts out and the blades stop. This is important if you have children in the vicinity. The handles are comfortable to use and fold down to make the lawn mower easier to store and transport.

Mountfield’s hand-held range of garden machinery includes grass trimmers and brush cutters, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws. They are all designed to be lightweight and easy to use. They are suitable for both domestic and professional users.
Mountfield have recently released their Freedom 48 range of cordless garden machinery. Once you have purchased a battery and a charger, you can use them for any of the product in the range as they all use the same battery.

Ride-On Mowers - We charge a minimum rate of £69.00 (for smaller garden riders) and £79.00 (for garden tractors) for all Start 'N' Go orders. This service is available to most mainland England and Wales postcodes. We cannot currently offer this service to any Scottish postcodes.
Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday if a bank holiday). We will contact you to book your delivery in.
