This lawn mower features a standard recoil with an innovative auto choke system, so now you can be assured of a reliable start every time. Protected by a tough steel chassis this mower can take a few knocks and will require a minimum of maintenance.
Being self propelled takes the effort out of mowing the lawn. Ideal for small to medium sized lawns of up to 40m x 40m you will find that slopes and bumpy ground can now be tackled with the greatest of ease. You can work at a steady pace knowing your safety has been taken into account in the form of the operator presence control system. If you let go of the handles the engine cuts out and the blades stop. This means you cannot leave the machine to idle which saves on petrol and also minimises the risk of accidents whilst you are working. You can also rest easy if you have children in the vicinity - they cannot operate the machine in your absence.
You can choose to rear discharge the grass if it is too long to collect, the grass will be left to wilt naturally on your lawn rather than being left to rot on your compost heap. If you do decide to collect then the 60 litre grass collector is more than up to the job. Featuring a hard top it reduces the amount of dust that can fly up into your face as you mow, this is especially helpful in dry conditions. It is easy to empty and reattach. The handy bag full indicator cuts the risk of the bag becoming overfilled which can lead to blockages that need to be unclogged by hand. A long and arduous task that we can tell you from personal experience is one we'd rather not repeat.
If your lawn conditions allow it, you can choose to mulch. A mulching plug is included as standard and is simple to fit. It allows the finely cut grass to be recycled back onto the lawn where it will sit barely noticeable and act as a nutrient rich fertilizer. You will have no need for additional lawn fertilizing products, saving you money, time and effort. Mounfield suggest you can save upto 30% of your time when you don't collect. This is great news for the busy domestic gardener, you will have more time to complete those other essential tasks in the garden.
The cutting width of 46cm together with 6 pre-set cutting heights that range from 22-80mm makes this Mountfield SP46 Elite a very versatile mower. Mountfield’s hand-held range of garden machinery includes grass trimmers and brush cutters, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws. They are all designed to be lightweight and easy to use. They are suitable for both domestic and professional users.
Mountfield have recently released their Freedom 48 range of cordless garden machinery. Once you have purchased a battery and a charger, you can use them for any of the product in the range as they all use the same battery.

Ride-On Mowers - We charge a minimum rate of £69.00 (for smaller garden riders) and £79.00 (for garden tractors) for all Start 'N' Go orders. This service is available to most mainland England and Wales postcodes. We cannot currently offer this service to any Scottish postcodes.
Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday if a bank holiday). We will contact you to book your delivery in.
