The Mountfield Freedom 38e-SD is Mountfield’s first ever battery powered side-discharge garden tractor. Packed with high-end features and a wealth of attributes, you can be assured of a no-fuss gardening experience thanks to the expert design features of this powerful and versatile lawn mower. With rear wheel drive and anti-scalp wheels you can be assured that the Mountfield Freedom 38e SD is the best thing for your lawn, and will leave it looking neat and tidy everytime.

The Mountfield Freedom 38e-SD is a side discharge garden tractor but you can also easily turn this machine into a mulcher with simple fitting of the optional mulch kit wihich is available to buy either with the machine as an accessory or retrospectively depending on the needs and condition of your grass. Side discharge allows you to cut longer, rougher areas of lawn with speed and accuracy and the mulching feature allows you to return vital nutrients back to your lawn. You will be fertilizing your lawn as you mow and therefore you are unlikely to require additional lawn care products, saving you time, effort and money.

Representing everything the modern gardener of today expects from a lawn mower, the Mountfield Freedom 38e-SD offers excellent value for money and has been designed to work hard for you for many years to come. Styled in the traditional “Mountfield Red” its robust and very traditional looking outer body hides a wealth of state-of-the-art features and very modern designs.

The Mountfield brand are market leaders and this is mainly due to their ever evolving designs and their use of up-to-date lawn mowing technology that they incorporate into every single machine they produce. The Mountfield Freedom 38e-SD is certainly no exception, and it boasts an innovative and powerful Stiga premium LG 48v 30Ah lithium-ion battery which has been expertly developed to offer a run time of around 45 minutes. Charging the battery takes around six hours with the supplied charger but a fast charger is also available as an accessory if you need to reduce the charging time.

The Mountfield Freedom 38e SD offers a very generously sized 98cm cutting width which will allow you to cut a large area of lawn in record time and with the minimum of fuss. With seven cutting heights to choose from that range from 25mm to 80mm, this ride-on tractor is pretty much ready for anything. Mountfield suggests it is the perfect choice for lawns up to around 3500 m2.

Easy to manoeuvre and simple to operate the Mountfield Freedom 38e SD really puts the joy back into mowing the lawn. Thanks to its battery powered operation you won’t have the hassle of filling with fuel and you’ll be able to work in a quieter, more pleasant atmosphere free from petrol fumes. Mountfield suggests that this ride-on lawn mower operates at 4dB less noise than a comparable petrol driven lawn tractor, that’s quite a difference and will mean instead of a noisy petrol engine all you’ll hear will be the sweet sounds of nature.

A faster blade speed and a much advanced cut is achieved thanks to the 2 brushless motors that are belt and pulley free and the twin blades that supply 1.5kW of power per blade. This system is incredibly easy to maintain and will require much less in the way of servicing or repair than a traditional petrol engine, saving you time, money and effort in the long run.

Driving the Mountfield Freedom 38e SD battery powered side-discharge garden tractor may feel a bit like driving a small and very responsive car. Even easier to use than a hydrostatic system, the foot pedal is smooth and responsive and a reverse gear is there to ensure that you can go anywhere you need to, and reverse out of tight spots. The electric transmission is smooth and reliable and won’t let you down.

For your ultimate comfort and safety the Mountfield Freedom 38e SD boasts an ergonomic steering wheel, a classic Mountfield adjustable seat with safety breaker, plenty of legroom, LED headlights and a storage compartment and a cup holder.
