This impressive range of garden tools are all powered by the same top-of-the-range STIGA E-Power lithium-ion battery and they offer a wealth of stand-out-features and also truly represent excellent value for money. You only need one or two batteries and one charger to power any number of machines in the Freedom 500 range, making them simple to operate, affordable and convenient.
The Mountfield Empress 51 Li cordless lawn mower is actually the largest mower in the Freedom 500 range and therefore is ideal for larger gardens. It offers a remarkably generous 51cm cutting width, a robust steel chassis and a fixed forward speed of 3.7km/h. Thanks to the up to date design of the Freedom 500 cordless range you can expect all the power of petrol with none of the inconveniences, such as the fumes, the noise, and the hassle of storing and filling with fuel.
Being self-propelled you won’t need to push, simply direct the mower to where you need to mow. With the Empress 51 Li you have finally found a safe, convenient and altogether more pleasant way to mow the lawn. Free from emissions the Empress 51 Li is also quiet and low on vibrations and therefore as you work all you will hear and smell will be the sweet sounds and smells of your garden and the great outdoors - just as nature intended!
The Mountfield Empress 51 Li cordless lawn mower is considered a “4-in-1” mower and this means you can choose from collecting the grass clippings in the generously sized collector, or you can discharge the clippings or mulch them. If your grass is in less than perfect condition or is longer or damp you can choose from side or rear discharge. Either option will allow you to cut the lawn quickly and efficiently with the minimum of fuss. If you choose to collect, then you will be glad to learn that there is a bag full indicator which will ensure your bag never gets over filled and at risk of being clogged.
We love the mulching option as it allows you to care for your lawn with the greatest of ease. The mulched grass contains all the vital nutrients that your grass needs to grow green and healthy, and therefore you will be fertilizing your grass as you mow. You won’t need to purchase additional lawn care products so you are essentially saving money, time and effort all in one, and you can’t really ask for more than that!
Whatever the length or condition of your grass you are guaranteed to get it looking good in no time. The centralised lever allows you to select the correct cutting height to suit your needs - you can choose from 6 pre-set heights that range from 22-80mm, which means you can cut very low to the ground and achieve a nice neat finish, but if you use the higher end of the height adjustment then you will be able to cope with longer more untidy grass with ease.
At the end of the day you can use the handy washing link to give your lawn mower a good clean to rid it of dried grass and debris to ensure it has a long life and looks shiny and stylish every time you use it!
Using the included 2 x 5Ah batteries the Empress 511Li is suitable for gardens up to 600sqm with a run time dependent on conditions of 25mins.

They are suitable for both domestic and professional users.
Mountfield have recently released their Freedom 48 range of cordless garden machinery. Once you have purchased a battery and a charger, you can use them for any of the product in the range as they all use the same battery.

Ride-On Mowers - We charge a minimum rate of £69.00 (for smaller garden riders) and £79.00 (for garden tractors) for all Start 'N' Go orders. This service is available to most mainland England and Wales postcodes. We cannot currently offer this service to any Scottish postcodes.
Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner.
