This Mountfield 1530M garden tractor was the first lawn tractor to feature a twin bladed cutting system and has gone on to be one of the best selling machines in the UK since it was launched and the good news for this season is that it has received a facelift so it now looks even better and mows just as well!
Under the bonnet everything remains the same, the Mountfield 7750 OHV engine still delivers the same ample power from its 452cc to make this machine both maneuverable and capable of mowing with ease. The Mountfield 1530M is rear wheel drive and has a manual gearbox with 5 forward gears plus reverse with a maximum speed of 9.7km/h.
A twin bladed cutting deck will give you a far more pleasing finish than a single blade as the twin blades follow the contours of the ground better and are therefore less likely to scalp the grass, the height of cut can be easily adjusted from the seat and ranges from 25mm to 80mm in 7 different pre-set positions accommodating all the different areas of your garden.
The Mountfield 1530M is very versatile and whilst it’s forte is grass collection it is equally capable of transforming into a mulching machine when required or with the addition of a rear deflector grass clippings can simply be thrown from the rear of the machine onto the ground in areas you don’t need to collect. When in collection mode the grass clippings are blown into the large 240 litre collection box via a direct centre rear discharge that is cleaner and more powerful due to the air volume generated by the two cutting blades contra rotating. The smart thinkers at Mountfield have also fitted an alarm to alert you when the collector is full so that you can disengage the cutting blades to reduce the possibility of clogging the chute whilst you drive to where you wish to empty the box which is also very easy and can be done whilst still seated by using the hand lever on the collector.
Comfort and ease of use have also been designed into this workhorse, the high backed seat can be adjusted to suit all sizes of driver and of course safety is built in as you would expect so that if pressure is not maintained on the seat the engine and more importantly the cutting blades will stop. All the controls are within reach of the driver and the cutting blades are engaged or disengaged with the simple pull or push of a switch on the dashboard, the safety button for allowing the cutting in reverse is also located here. With light steering and an exceptionally tight turning circle of 180cm this machine will make light work of your lawn, with the useful cup holder built into the bodywork driver refreshment is on hand at all times.
The kit to turn this machine into a mulcher is included so when conditions are suitable there is no need for grass collection. The rear deflector is an optional extra, as is a tow hitch which if purchased means you can then tow a variety of attachments from trailers to sweepers which will help maintain your lawn and assist moving heavier items around your grounds.

They are suitable for both domestic and professional users.
Mountfield have recently released their Freedom 48 range of cordless garden machinery. Once you have purchased a battery and a charger, you can use them for any of the product in the range as they all use the same battery.

Ride-On Mowers - We charge a minimum rate of £69.00 (for smaller garden riders) and £79.00 (for garden tractors) for all Start 'N' Go orders. This service is available to most mainland England and Wales postcodes. We cannot currently offer this service to any Scottish postcodes.
Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales. Products that receive this service will be assembled, tested and personally delivered by one of our team on our own transport. We will also fully demonstrate the product for you. Delivery is usually 3-5 working days (if ordered Mon-Fri, stock permitting) but during quieter times this can be much sooner. Orders placed over the weekend will be processed on the following Monday (or Tuesday if a bank holiday). We will contact you to book your delivery in.
