The new Stihl SHA 56 cordless vacuum shredder is incredibly simple to operate and can be easily changed from vacuum to shredder and vice versa. You won’t need any tools and therefore it can be done “on the go” - you won’t need to rummage around in your shed looking for the right tool!
This is the first battery operated vacuum shredder in the Stihl range and it’s obvious that they have put a lot of thought into the design of it. You can use it for easy vacuuming up of leaves and hedge cuttings for exemple - and you can even use it for gathering up larger volumes of debris into piles ready to dispose of.
Powered by a powerful 36v battery (available separately, as well as the charger) you can expect up to around 25 minutes of working time - which should be plenty of time to get your garden looking neat and tidy. You do have the option of having more than one battery if you think you will need longer.
Stihl suggests the 36v lithium-ion AK 20 battery is ideal for this SHA 56 cordless vacuum shredder as it gives you around 25 minutes of time, but if you select the AK 10 you will get 12 minutes of run time whereas the AK 30 will give you up to 30 minutes.
You need to consider that the smaller the battery the cheaper it will be and it will also be slightly quicker to charge, whereas the heavier duty batteries generally take longer to charge and cost more.
The lightweight and flexible collection bag features an asymmetrical design giving you maximum legroom as you work. It is attached to the suction tube, and makes light work of collecting garden debris. A back-pack collection bag can be purchased separately if you’d prefer this, however.
You’ll love the rotatable handle on this Stihl SHA 56 cordless vacuum shredder - it features a variable speed trigger that makes it easy to change speeds in either mode. For your comfort there is an additional front handle and even a padded harness that you can wear to ensure the weight is evenly distributed and also makes it safer to use.
All the nozzles you need are included with this product - and that includes the round nozzle and adjustable blower tube for when you are using it as a blower. A flat nozzle which increases the air speed is available as an additional extra.
This Stihl SHA 56 cordless vacuum shredder is lightweight and easy to use - it weighs just 4.2kg in vacuum mode (without battery) and 3.2kg in blower mode (without battery). Using it in conjunction with the strap that comes with it will of course make it feel easier to work with as well.
A two year warranty is available with this product.

Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales.
