Another helpful feature is the Stihl ergo start which reduces the pressure needed to pull the starter cord by a third, all you need is two fingers and a gentle pull action.
For added convenience, this model features a tool free filler cap which means that the filler cap can be opened and closed again without the need for tools. The single lever operation works well because the choke, start gas, operating position and stop function are integrated into one handy element.
After you’ve pressed the stop button, the shaft jumps back to its original position and then the hedge trimmer is ready to start again straight away - and this system prevents inaccurate operation for your peace of mind.
The STIHL 2-mix engine specially designed for the new generation of hedge trimmer combines low consumption and emissions with low weight and excellent acceleration. There are also always sufficient power reserves for cutting thicker shrubs.
Come with tip protection as standard, which prevents damage to both the blade and the gear, but also to things that lie near the hedgerow (e.g. natural stone wall). It also makes it easier to cut ground cover plants. (similar to illustration)
This ensures reliable starting and trouble-free running. The ignition system is fully encapsulated and thus protected from damp and dirt.
With the ergonomic quick adjustment, the length of the HTA can easily be varied from 285 to 405 cm. The adjustment is done by simply loosening and tightening the quick adjustment by a 1/4 turn.
A clamp on the telescopic shaft means the pole pruiner can be attached easily and released quickly. The clip can be easily moved by the user. Comfortable grip tube ensures a firm grip over the entire gripping area. STIHL shoulder strap is included as standard.
