The proven Grin chassis provides a robust nature quite unlike other models from different brands that you might have considered. Grin’s innovative design of the traction, mounted on GRIN suspended axles, allows for exceptional shock resistance and durability. The traction in the oil bath, in the aluminum casing, is reliable and powerful.
You’ll soon start to see the benefits and perks of a lawn mower that does not need a grass bag. It’s easier to maneuver for a start and there’ll be no rotting grass on your compost heap. The grass will be so finely mulched you’ll barely notice it quickly wilting away on your lawn and of course the mulched grass is like a finely tuned fertilizer - giving your grass every chance of a green and healthy growth.
The Grin HM53A mulching lawn mower features a 53 cm mowing deck and the engineers at Grin have selected this size for this model to allow you to mow lawns larger than 1200 m². If you compare it to the 46cm mowing deck on the smaller model this HM53A is far better suited to wide open spaces as it allows you to work faster, thus saving you time and energy as you’ll make fewer turns.
If your work means you have to sometimes tackle rocky or uneven terrain then you can equip your Grin HM53A mulching mower with an optional engine protection cone. This is probably a good idea to ensure that the engine is protected as much as possible as you work, freeing you up to take your mower anywhere you need to go and allowing you to work with peace of mind.
The lawn mower itself is incredibly hard working and robust, it weighs in at about 34kg so it's still easy to manage. There are 4 cutting heights all adjusted with a single quick action lever. And thanks to the clever mow ‘n’ stow feature you can store it vertically in your shed for when space is at a premium - and it also keeps it safe whilst in storage.
Ideal in all kinds of situations this GRIN HM53A mulching mower is incredibly versatile but is particularly ideal for lawn maintenance and difficult conditions. The huge 53 cm mowing deck has been selected for this model to ensure that it works well in large open spaces, but still remains easy to manoeuvre in smaller spaces.
All the GRIN lawn mowers are designed, produced and assembled with the highest quality standards: the 3 mm thick steel frame and mowing deck, the engine protection cone for accidental impact, the professional tractions, the steel wheels, the centralized mowing height adjustment, the foldable handlebar are just some of the strengths.
This means that a GRIN mower can mow more grass and for a longer period, without getting overloaded. Therefore, GRIN performs much better in medium-tall grass than a conventional mulching system.
The GRIN mowing system consists of a patented blade with a particular shape and made of a special material.
The blade is assembled with a patented helix disc in a specific position inside the mowing deck. These two components, combined with the shape of the mowing deck, create a vortex with centrifugal effect, which keeps the grass suspended in air for a long time to be pulverised in fine particles.
The mowed grass remains suspended for a few fractions of a second inside the patented Grin mowing deck. It is centrifuged and pulverized, thanks to the vortex created by the patented Grin blade combined with the effect of a Grin helix disc
In this way the grass loses most of its volume and is pulverized into tiny little and virtually invisible particles. These particles fall directly onto the soil (they do not remain on the surface of the lawn!) and are absorbed in a very short time.
GRIN optimally processes the grass inside the mowing deck, pulverizing everything into extremely fine particles, which become an excellent fertilizer for your lawn!
The patented mowing system – MOWING, NO GRASS BAG, NO WASTE – developed by Grin is also effective with leaves. The leaves are ground inside the mowing deck and transformed into fertilizer for your lawn.
If the leaves are fine ground by the GRIN system, they become an excellent nourishment for the lawn because they are rich of carbon. The night humidity and the microorganisms of the terrain help the absorption, so that the soil becomes more fertile and consequently more beautiful.
In this way, there is no need to waste time and effort in collecting the leaves and disposing of them.
The patented Grin system - MOWING, NO GRASS BAG, NO WASTE - must not be mistaken for the CONVENTIONAL MULCHING mowing system. Both systems are based on bag-less mowing, but were developed to meet different needs.
The main differences between the two systems are:
- MOWING HEIGHT AND FREQUENCY: With Grin it is possible to maintain the same mowing height and mowing frequency as with a grass bag type mower.
- GRASS PULVERISATION: In standard mowing conditions, Grin pulverises grass into very fine fragments, which are deposited on the soil and absorbed as fertiliser.
- MOWING WET GRASS: With Grin it is possible to mow wet grass much better than with a grass bag type mower.

Everything else - We charge a minimum rate of £29.00 for all Start 'N' Go orders which are being sent to UK mainland addresses (England, Wales and some Scottish addresses*).
Our premium Start 'N' Go+ service is available on certain products to most of England and Wales.
