The vertical belt tension has been designed especially to ensure problem-free operation. This allows the belt to retain its natural shape even when it is in use. The working life of the belt is totally transformed as this system practically eliminates any wear on the belt and therefore it should last you a very long time indeed.
If you need to lift up moss and thatch up from the lawn then this is the ideal tool as the working depth is typically 2 mm. At this speed, almost no braking will be applied to the blades, and they are therefore able to operate at full speed, lifting up the moss and thatch with no issues at all.
The blades won’t cut through the roots and therefore this will reduce the amount of time that your lawn will take to recover from this procedure. The front wheels of the Eliet E650 ZR feature an infinitely variable adjustment. And therefore even in a delicate matter such as removing thatch you will be able to ensure that the same depth can be set across the entire blade shaft. The Permanently Sharp Blades™ won’t wear down, even after operating for more than 100 hours.
For your comfort and the health of your lawn the Eliet E650 ZR features aluminium wheels. With a supple natural rubber tread you will simply glide across the lawn! Each wheel has two of its own large-size ball bearings for stability. The wide wheel tread will minimise any tracks left on wet grass.
Another really practical design of the Eliet E650 ZR is the wheels and mud scrapers. Any dirt that sticks to the wheels will come off straight away. For your safety Eliet has incorporated a wide rubber safety guard at the rear of the machine. It retains all dust, sand and any stones that are thrown up out of the ground by the blades. Because it is suspended on a chain it cleverly obeys each steering command.

During the 1970s, a revival in the garden machinery trade inspired blacksmith Emiel Lietaer to utilise his metal working skills and expand his construction warehouse to include the production of garden machinery. Thanks to Lietaer's highly creative mind and technical skills his very first "Eliet" machine was produced in 1980. However it wasn't until 1986 that his great breakthrough really occurred. It was at the International Agricultural Week at the Heysel Stadium in Brussels, Belgium, that the quality of Eliet machines was first recognised and the brand was finally born.
Demand quickly grew and many investments were made whilst the company grew into a world leader. These demands are still growing now with the expansion of buildings and headcounts.
What started as a business run by one person, soon turned into a large family-run business that is still rapidly expanding. Frederic Lietaer, Emiel's son, soon came to love the profession just as much and was determined to carry on the Eliet success story.
Eliet designers are already working on 'tomorrow's machines' today. They are constantly on the lookout for ways of improving their products. All Eliet products are created with efficiency, economical value, and environmental impact in mind.
With a large selection of scarifiers, aerators and chippers available, Eliet have always been at the front of the race to ensure the latest technology was being utilised to the best of its ability. For example, take the "Chopping Principle" that's used in Eliet chippers; it exploits the weakness of wood by cutting with the grain. The blades of Eliet shredders cut into the garden waste like miniature hatchets. As a result the wood is cut with the grain. A passel of blades repeat the cycle a thousand of times a minute. The process results in uniform chips that are perfect as a mulch layer or on your compost heap.
