5 new EXCITING Stihl products for Summer 2021

We always get rather excited when one of our favourite brands announces a new range of products and with technology moving faster than ever before we are always blown away with how brands like Stihl keep pushing the boundaries of design to deliver state-of-the-art garden machinery. And we have certainly not been disappointed with Stihl’s new Cordless AP System range to hit the market this year and we are waiting tentatively for our new stock to arrive here at Just Lawnmowers. In the meantime we thought we’d share some details with you.

Firstly we have the new for 2021 Stihl RMA 443 VC lawn mower – part of this new Cordless AP System the design is totally futuristic and promises great things. As you can probably tell it’s incredibly lightweight and the uniquely shaped handle gives you plenty of control over the lawn mower as you work. Incidentally the handle bar can be folded flat for easy transport and storage. This RMA 443 VC is powerful yet remarkably easy to handle and is just the job for larger lawns. Emptying the grass catcher could not be simpler – a job we all loath and  thanks to the automatic eco mode and flow-optimised blades you can be assured of a longer battery life. Cordless technology has come a long, long way in the past few years and we are pleased to report that the Stihl RMA 443 VC uses the very latest technology in lithium-ion power and therefore not only is this lawn mower exceedingly quiet, it is also incredibly energy-efficient. A control on the handle bar allows you to set the speed according to the conditions you are working in, therefore you only ever need to use as much power as you need. Stihl have also added a high quality newly designed ergonomic cordless brushcutter to the Cordless AP System range; a top choice for domestic users as it is lightweight and simple to operate. The Stihl FSA 60 R Cordless Brush Cutter is ideal for trimming lawns, edges and grass along paths or around plants and objects, and thanks to its low noise operation it is ideal for working in noise sensitive areas – which is great news if you don’t want to disturb the neighbours! It offers a cutting circle diameter of 35cms and a spacer bracket to give you peace of mind when you need to trim close to edges and around obstacles. Featuring a powerful EC motor that is economical and ultra reliable and a speed regulator with a total of three speeds to choose from this cordless brushcutter is extremely energy efficient. It’s always hard to put a time limit on the batteries but Stihl suggests the working time with the recommended AK 20 battery is up to 25 minutes (with AutoCut 6-2 mowing head). And with the recommended AK 20 battery you can get up to 40 minutes (with PolyCut 6-2 mowing head). With its sturdy aluminium shaft and interchangeable cutting tools the Stihl FSA 60 R is incredibly versatile and practical and will give you many years of reliable service.

Stihl have included a hard working long reach hedge trimmer to their new  Cordless AP System range, aimed at the professional user. The Stihl HLA 66 long reach hedge trimmer has evolved from the HLA 65 but offers a much more balanced machine and a new ergonomic control handle with the self resetting Ergo lever for left and right handers, presented in a seamless and exciting design. The loop handle increases your control over the machine as you work and at 205 cm long with a 50cm/20” double side, double edge blade and adjustable working angle head from -45° to +70° anything is possible! For easy storage and transport the head folds flat to 132cm in total for your convenience. A tip protector ensures the blade will not get damaged during use which is especially useful if you are trimming close to the ground, and the double-sided cutting plate is ground on both sides and ensures a clean cutting pattern. The very modern EC electric motor is powerful, reliable and extremely energy efficient as it permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly. Stihl have also added a brand new cordless blower to this popular Cordless AP System range, in the form of the Stihl BGA 57 blower which is actually the successor to the very popular BGA 56. It’s hard to improve on perfection but Stihl have used all the latest design technology to bring you this improved machine with an impressive blowing performance and offering both right and left handed users a comfortable experience. It’s super quiet too so you won’t need ear protectors. It features a  low weight (2.2 kg) and sufficient working time for domestic use (22 min with AK 20 battery). The blowing nozzle can be adjusted in line with the user’s height – it has 3 stages and will therefore avoid a loss of blowing power due to being too far away from the ground. The soft grip will absorb some of the vibrations to keep you as comfortable as possible while you work. At the end of the day a handy eyelet on the machine allows you to hang it up to avoid it being damaged whilst in storage. The battery is quick to charge and the charger can even be wall mounted which is a great space saver and means it won’t get lost or damaged whilst in storage.

The Cordless AP System range would not be complete without a pole pruner and the Stihl HTA 66 pole pruner is a remarkably lightweight yet robust and powerful addition to the range. Complete with a 1/4″ PM3 saw chain for low vibration and a clean, precise cut, it is ideal for pruning work on estates or grounds, and also for garden and orchard maintenance. A handy branch hook will  assist you with the final job of removing cuttings to leave you with a perfectly manicured finish. The rigid shaft is not extendable but offers you a total length of 240cm. It’s well balanced and easy to manoeuvre and you can choose from a selection of batteries, all offering different run times. The brushless EC motor permanently monitors the load and adjusts the engine accordingly, to ensure that it only uses as much power as is needed and therefore is incredibly energy efficient. For added convenience the oil cap can be opened and closed by the operator without the need for additional tools. For added safety the Stihl HTA 66 pole pruner features a locking lever that is self-resetting and prevents unintentional switching on of the device.
