MTD T450 Petrol Rotavator
The T/450 is our heaviest duty 46cm/18" tiller, that features a 6.5 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. This unit is a rear tine tiller that has reverse on both the tines and the drive wheels. The reverse on the wheels is essential for manoeuvrability while the reverse on the tines gives the option of either digging or lifting the soil, this enables the machine to tackle a wide variety of conditions.
The drive system is an extremely robust chain/gear layout. This machine is suitable for the most 'serious' gardener and light commercial use. If a substantial amount of your work involves tilling virgin ground this is the machine to select.
FEATURES
Engine The T/450 Tiller features the world renowned Briggs & Stratton engine, giving reliability. The heavy duty 4.8kW 6.5hp engine has maximum torque.
Transmission This tiller has a Chain & Gear driven gearbox, giving a very strong positive drive.
Tines/Working Width With this model you get 4 x 13” Rear Counter Rotating Tines with a Cutting width of 46cm/18”. In reverse, the tine can lift, rather than dig, which can be more effective in some conditions.
Chassis This chassis is heavy duty and has an all steel chassis for added strength and longevity.
Handles These handles are fully adjustable and also can be angled to the side, allowowing the operator to use the machine without walking on the area already tilled.
Reverse Gear This tiller features forward and reverse on the drive wheels, giving maximum versatility. Tine reverse helps the manoeuvrability.
WHEELS The T/450 Tiller has two 35cm/14” Pneumatic Chevron tyres giving good grip in difficult conditions.
