This is an assisted start system that starts the engine when the rope is pulled like a conventional starter system, but only requires about one-third the effort of a conventional starter. The clutches are manufactured from die cast material and fitted with bonded fibrous linings resulting in significantly reduced heat build-up and longer life. The clutches are larger than competitors for better power transfer to the blades. The main gear has a larger circumference and greater material thickness for better power transfer to the blades and longer product life. The cams are pressed into the main gear rather than spot welded to provide extra durability. The LE 2-cycle 22.5cc engine is ideally suited for use with hedgetrimmers because of its light weight, high performance and low vibration.
